Village Well were invited to prepare a business marketing plan to bring to life and activate the Box Hill Activity Centre Structure Plan.
The plan framed a strategic re-positioning of the Box Hill Activity Centre as described in the Box Hill Transit City Activity Centre Structure Plan (June 2007), with particular focus on the business and retail core of Box Hill. There was a window of opportunity in place to protect and celebrate the unique diversity of Box Hill and move forward towards a positive and prosperous future.
Key recommendations for future development included:
- Developing a proactive marketing campaign rolling out the Box Hill branding ‘East meets West’ logo
- Reinstating a strong traders association with leadership from an Activity Centre Manager
- Creating a partnership framework with the traders association, Council and community
- Strategies to improve the quality and presentation of the retail core
